Nigerians To Play Key Role At GUBA Barbados 2025

Barbados is set to host the first-ever Caribbean edition of the GUBA Awards this November, with Nigerian entrepreneurs, investors, and business leaders expected to play a leading role in shaping the landmark event.

The three-day summit, organized in partnership with the Office of the Prime Minister of Barbados, will run from November 10 to 12, 2025, marking the 16th edition of the prestigious awards.

Speaking on behalf of the foundation, Mariam K. Buahin, Chief Operating Officer of Akuna Group, said the donation reflects the foundation’s mission to support education and employability across Africa.

Ghanaian-born midfielder Baba Alhassan has been included in Uganda’s national team squad for their upcoming international friendlies against Chad and Morocco, marking what appears to be his first call-up to the Cranes setup.

The talented midfielder, who currently plays for FCSB in the Romanian top flight, has reportedly switched nationality to represent Uganda, the country of his maternal roots.
