Paris Saint-Germain forward Ousmane Dembélé has been crowned the winner of the 2025 Ballon d’Or, capping a historic campaign in which he inspired the French club to its first ever UEFA Champions League triumph.

The 28-year-old attacker produced the best season of his career, scoring 35 goals across all competitions and playing a decisive role as PSG completed a treble with the Ligue 1 title and Coupe de France.

Dembélé’s consistency and match-winning performances saw him finish ahead of Barcelona’s teenage sensation Lamine Yamal and teammate Vitinha in the final voting.

At the award ceremony held at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, an emotional Dembélé dedicated the honor to his family, teammates, and supporters. “This is a dream come true. To share it with PSG and the fans makes it even more special,” he said.

His achievement makes him the first French player to claim the prestigious award since Karim Benzema in 2022. PSG’s dominance on the night was further underlined as Gianluigi Donnarumma collected the Yashin Trophy for best goalkeeper, while coach Luis Enrique was named Best Coach.

In the women’s category, Barcelona star Aitana Bonmatí secured her third consecutive Ballon d’Or, reinforcing her status as the leading figure in the women’s game.

Dembélé’s win not only reflects a personal milestone but also signals PSG’s growing stature in European football, with the club finally converting domestic dominance into continental glory.
