NACOC Arrests Notorious Drug Queen in Buduburam Raid

The Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) has arrested a notorious female drug dealer during a major operation at Buduburam, marking a significant breakthrough in the fight against drug trafficking and abuse.

The suspect, Rebecca Afia Naa Dei Kotei, aged 32 and popularly known in the area as “Mother,” is believed to be a central figure in illicit drug activities within the Buduburam enclave and its surrounding communities. Local opinion leaders describe her as a well-known and feared operator who had, until now, successfully evaded arrest despite her alleged long-standing involvement in the drug trade.

The arrest followed a carefully coordinated raid carried out as part of NACOC’s nationwide campaign to clamp down on drug trafficking, peddling, and substance abuse. During the operation, officers seized quantities of suspected cannabis, tramadol, and other controlled substances, along with items believed to have been used in the packaging and distribution of drugs.

In addition to the arrest of the alleged ringleader, several other individuals suspected to be involved in drug-related activities were also picked up during the raid for further investigation.

NACOC officials say the operation underscores the Commission’s renewed commitment to dismantling drug networks and protecting communities from the harmful effects of narcotics. Residents in Buduburam have welcomed the arrest, expressing hope that it will bring relief and improved safety to the area.

The suspects are currently in custody and are expected to be processed for court as investigations continue.
