Mohammed Salisu Clinches Player of the Match as Monaco Settles for Draw Against Pafos in Champions League

Ghanaian defender Mohammed Salisu earned Player of the Match honours following a commanding performance in AS Monaco’s 2-2 stalemate with Cypriot side Pafos in Wednesday’s UEFA Champions League fixture.
Although a late own goal allowed the hosts to snatch a point, Salisu topped the UEFA Technical Observer rankings thanks to a dominant display over the full 90 minutes. The 26-year-old completed a team-high 54 passes and executed 14 crucial defensive interventions while orchestrating Monaco’s defensive line.
The French outfit regained the lead soon after, with Folarin Balogun capitalising on an error from goalkeeper Neofytos Michail to slot home.
However, Pafos salvaged a dramatic late equaliser when Ivan Sunjic’s shot rattled the crossbar and deflected off Salisu into the goal with just two minutes remaining.
