Gospel musician Joe Mettle has announced the line-up for this year’s Praise Reloaded concert, saying the event will return to the Accra Sports Stadium after being held elsewhere last year.

Speaking on the Big Conversation segment on the Culture Daily morning show on 3Music TV and Pluzz 89.9FM, the singer said the annual worship gathering will take place on 28 June.

By the grace of God, we’re doing Praise Reloaded again,” he said.

Joe Mettle said organisers were unable to secure the stadium last year and therefore moved the event to the El-Wak Sports Stadium.

This year’s edition, themed The River, will feature a number of gospel acts from Ghana and beyond.

Among the artistes announced are Daughters of Glorious Jesus, Nigerian gospel singers Sola Allyson, Sunmisola Agbebi, Prospa Ochimana and Ghanaian worship leader Eugene Zuta.

Bethel Revival and several other ministers are also expected to perform.

“I’ve always wanted to have Daughters of Glorious Jesus on this service,” Mr Mettle said.

The musician said gates will open early to accommodate worshippers travelling directly from church services.

He added that admission will remain free, although attendees are encouraged to register online.

“We just want you to register for us so that we’re able to send you information,” he said.

The announcement comes as Joe Mettle reflects on a music career that has seen him become one of Ghana’s most influential gospel musicians.

Asked whether he had reached the peak of his career, the singer said he believes there is still more ahead.

“Every time there’s something new I feel coming,” he said.

Reflecting on his journey from a childhood marked by hardship to leading worship events attended by thousands, Joe Mettle expressed gratitude.

“I feel grateful. Every single time I look at some of these things, my heart is full,” he said.

“I’m grateful and humbled that God could pick somebody like me and use me.”
