Ghana Unleashes Visa-Free Entry as It Gears Up for High-Stakes 2025 Diaspora Summit in Accra

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has revealed that all attendees of the 2025 Diaspora Summit will receive complimentary entry visas ahead of the gathering slated for December 19–20, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC).

According to a communiqué released in Accra on Tuesday, December 2, the Ministry explained that this gesture fulfills a promise earlier made by the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, during the official media unveiling of the summit.

This initiative is designed to ease travel for Africans and individuals of African heritage seeking to take part in the forum, which aims to deepen collaboration, foster strategic alliances, and drive collective progress.
The Ministry urged interested delegates to proceed to the nearest Ghanaian Embassy, High Commission, or Consulate in their countries of residence to secure their complimentary visas before embarking on their journey to Ghana.

It also emphasized that online registration—accessible via www.diasporasummitghana.org—closes on Monday, December 8, 2025.
