Ghana Stages Official Funeral Ceremony Today for the Late Nana Konadu
A national memorial ceremony is being conducted today in Accra to pay homage to the late former First Lady of Ghana, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.
The funeral rites are underway at Independence Square in the heart of the capital.
In attendance are senior government representatives, prominent political personalities, members of the diplomatic community, traditional authorities, and countless citizens.
Nana Konadu, the former First Lady, was the spouse of the late ex-President Jerry John Rawlings. She passed away at the Ridge Hospital in Accra in October 2025.
The state observance commenced at approximately 8:00 a.m. Earlier on Wednesday, a solemn requiem service was organized at the Accra Ridge Church, where relatives, friends, and distinguished guests delivered heartfelt tributes.
