Ghanaian duo DopeNation thrilled thousands of fans after making a surprise appearance during R2Bees’ set at Afro Nation Portugal 2026, one of the world’s biggest celebrations of Afrobeats and African music.

The twins were brought on stage unexpectedly by R2Bees, sending the crowd into a frenzy as they performed some of their biggest hits together in one of the standout moments of the three-day festival.

Held from July 3 to 5 in Portimão, Portugal, this year’s Afro Nation featured an impressive lineup led by Wizkid, Burna Boy, Tyla, Asake, Gunna, Kehlani, Olamide, Mariah the Scientist, Niska, Young Jonn, Bien and R2Bees.

The festival also showcased the best of Amapiano through its Piano People stage, while introducing a new Afrotronic stage dedicated to Afro-house and electronic sounds, further cementing its status as the premier global destination for African music and culture.

R2Bees’ decision to bring out DopeNation highlighted Ghana’s strong representation at the international festival, with fans praising the surprise collaboration across social media.

The performance reinforced the growing influence of Ghanaian music on the global stage, as both acts proudly showcased the country’s vibrant sound before an audience made up of music lovers from across the world.
