The late Ghanaian highlife icon, Daddy Lumba, will be laid to rest on December 6, 2025, at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi, located in the Ashanti Region.

Daddy Lumba, born Charles Kwadwo Fosu, passed away on July 26, 2025, at the Bank Hospital in Accra following a brief illness. He was 60 years old.

In an official statement issued by the Fosu family on the day of his passing, they confirmed that the celebrated artist died peacefully. His one-week observance was held on August 30, 2025, at the Black Star Square in Accra, drawing a massive crowd of mourners, fans, and well-wishers who came to pay their final respects.
