Today, the Cape Town International Jazz Festival (CTIJF), a staple of the Cape Town music scene for generations, undergoes a significant rebrand. In alignment with the spirit and ethos of the festival, the CTIJF now embraces a fresh, modern identity.
The 23rd edition of the festival will take place from 27 to 28 March 2026. From its early days at the Good Hope Centre to its current home at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, this rebrand is a natural milestone in its ongoing journey — a fresh start rooted in the same love for the principles of jazz.

Over the years, the Rosies, Manenberg, Moses Molelekwa and Kippies stages have hosted iconic names such as Herbie Hancock, Erykah Badu, Judith Sephuma, Youssou N’Dour, Zahara, and Marcus Miller, to name just a few. As excitement builds for the upcoming edition, Festival Co-Director Georgia Jones shares her enthusiasm:
“I am incredibly excited about the CTIJF rebrand. A festival with such a rich legacy and heritage truly deserves this new breath of life and fresh approach. We eagerly anticipate a new wave of progressive thinking, deeper community integration, and a brand that effectively encompasses this new vision.”
Festival Co-Director Carolyn Savage echoes this sentiment: “As anticipation continues to grow for the latest instalment of Africa’s grandest gathering, the rebrand not only signals a new era, but also pays homage to the festival’s foundations, which have inspired generations of musicians and music lovers.”
As the CTIJF prepares to unveil its 23rd edition, the rebrand stands as a powerful statement of renewed purpose. It honours the festival’s rich legacy while embracing a bold, modern vision that reflects the evolution of jazz and the community it serves.
With its refreshed identity and continued commitment to musical excellence, the CTIJF enters its next chapter ready to inspire, innovate, and unite audiences once again.
